Richard Zednik Throat Cut Youtube

Paul Kukla will keep you updated on Zednik's condition. My thoughts are with Zednik and his family. What a terrible accident, one that brings Clint Malarchuk's name to mind very quickly. And as Malarchuk did, Zednik, incredibly, was able to will himself to stand up and skate off the ice.

Morning Update - Zednik underwent successful surgery last night and is resting comfortably this morning. He is listed in stable condition.

Something we won't forget for a long time. I hope he is okay. The Drs at Buffalo General will take care of him. They are excellent there.

I've always been a huge fan of Richard Zednik and enjoyed watching him play for the Washington Capitals. I was shocked and horrified to see this injury. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Get well soon Zed!

how does this have anything to do with his head being down...? next time lets have him looking up so more of his neck is exposed?

It's pure and horrible coincidence that both such incidents in NHL history involve the Sabres. I hope nobody reads any ridiculous ideas into this, that the club is somehow "cursed" or such nonsense.

Must be something in the water in Buffalo. First Clint Malarchuk gets his throat cut and now Richard Zednik. Malarchuk was NEVER the same mentally after his close call. Hopefully Zednik will fare better.

does this injury count as an accident at work? do sports stars have the same rights as us normal joes? when they get injured who picks up the tab?
